The story behind this baby girl is truly a fairytale. I was looking forward to photographing this baby girl after I heard her story. Her parents are pretty amazing to say the least. I know I say it a lot, but I had fun working with this family and lots of laughs were heard during the shoot. It was amazing baby girl slept through our giggles. Here are some of my favorite pictures that I took of this princess.
Let me tell you what….this was one of the funniest shoots EVER! Mom and I got together to go over ideas and I was laughing over the phone before the baby was even born. I knew it was going to be cute. This little guy’s nickname from the womb was Thor so of course we went with it. His big sister was A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E! I saw the challenge over at I Heart Faces and I immediately thought of this image. It is of my youngest babe. He is one of four so he is always doing stuff to get my attention. I took this photo back in March with the help of 2 other photographers. It is a composite ( please know that before trying to recreate this shot ) and someone had their hands on my baby at ALL TIMES! Safety is always my #1 concern when photographing babies and children.

It is no secret that I always try to incorporate one creative/funny shot into each of my newborn sessions. It reflects my personality and that is what the art of photography is all about….expressing yourself. I picked out a gnome theme for this family and I had no idea that there is a family joke about gnomes. I guess I couldn’t have picked a better newborn to try this theme on during the shoot. We cracked up laughing.
I also always do serious shots too so don’t worry.
This baby boy was also THE BEST newborn ever! We had the entire shoot done in under 2 hours and he didn’t wake up once. SCORE! I keep telling his parents that they need to write a book on how to have your baby super sleepy for their first photos.

What a super fun session this was! This family brought in the Great Grandparents for the shoot which made it extra special. Rarely does that happen so I was honored to capture such an important picture of 3 generations of daughters. The parents of this gorgeous baby girl were super laid back and funny. I know I always say I have a great time getting to know people but I truly do.I love that my job allows me to meet some pretty awesome families!
